Clayworks Featured in Vogue Living Australia

This month’s edition of Vogue Living Australia features Clayworks clay plaster throughout the new studio and home of House of Grey London’s Louisa Grey.

Serving as interior designer Louisa Grey’s home and studio, ‘House of Holism’ is created from natural and sustainable materials that promote a feeling of wellbeing and demonstrates how the spaces we live and work in can blend seamlessly using sustainable materials that are both beautiful and nurturing.

“I wanted all the different elements of my life under one roof, free of all the things that block health,” says Louisa in dismissal of the ‘wellness’ word driven into cliché by marketeers. “I call it ‘circular salutogenic design’.”

House of Grey has conducted pioneering research around wellness and  development of the waste-less, live-well systems and sustainable ‘cradle-to-cradle’ materials that now pack into the walls; a place where practice meets rejuvenating purpose in the plain sight of clients.

Besides their aesthetic quality, Clayworks Smooth Finish clay plaster  in colour WH1-05 was chosen due to its health and sustainability benefits including extremely low VOC emissions, low embodied carbon and the ability to regulate indoor air moisture levels, leading to better air quality inside the home.
